St. Paul’s Weekly News…

Happy 4th of July week…Reminder the church office will be closed for the holiday, Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th.

The Methodist Men’s breakfast will be held on Saturday, July 20th at 8 a.m. in the Chapel at St Paul’s.  Our speaker will be our own David Meyr.  He called his offering, “Fun in the Desert” which will be his observations of the current happenings in the Middle East.  He is a 26 year military veteran who worked for NATO for four years in the Middle East.

St. Paul’s has agreed to join the Staunton 8 at Praise in the Park each Tuesday in setting up a prayer tent and praying for our community needs.   St. Paul’s has selected Tuesday, July 30th as our day to man the prayer tent.  Also, there is a need to help other churches on 7/9, 7/16, 7/23.  Anyone interested in volunteering, please contact the office immediately at 540-886-23174 or see Pastor Ramsey.

As we heard from Noah Clarke, Noah will be beginning his ministry with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries at VCU.  Noah is seeking the support from each of us, whether it be financially or through prayer.  If you would like to partner with Noah as he begins Campus Ministry at VCU with Chi Alpha Campus ministries, donor forms and prayer cards are available in the church office.  Please stop by and pick one up today.  If you have additional questions, contact Pastor Norman Ramsey.

A Big THANK YOU to everyone who donated towards the Valley Mission upgrades.  The funds needed for the griddle and other updates came in this past weekend.  Thanks again to everyone who made it possible.

You Are Invited…Bo and Mary Flint have been so kind to invite us to their home again this year for a covered dish outing at 6 pm on Saturday, August 10.  Please RSVP to Glen Oberholtzer at by August 1 so we can have a count for the chicken which will be served.  The entire congregation is invited.
